I am friends with my words, and my friends are not afraid to defend my position.

 

I strive to buck the stereotype of the near-formulaic debate culture that children are taught in academies. While preparing for a debate, I carefully lay out my thoughts with old-school paper and pencils, so I can sketch my thoughts in without completely committing to them on the first go.

 

I admire the fluidity and the on-the-spot thinking that are critical for debating. The constant back and forth and the split second agility keeps my mind on its edge and I love the adrenaline rush of that moment when my arguments push through.
